Vol. 114 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Work in South Kerry.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that there is a complete cessation of Land Commission work in South Kerry, thereby causing serious unemployment; and, if so, whether he will state when such work will be resumed.

It is presumed that the Deputy is referring to improvement works which are being carried out by the Land Commission in connection with the development of turbary on bogs situated over a wide area on the Earl of Kenmare estate and on which over £20,000 has already been spent. This work is continuing and, given suitable weather, will continue until completed.
