Vol. 114 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Maize in Cork.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will now state (a) the cost of maize, ex ship, in Cork in December, 1948; and (b) the price farmers and millers were expected to pay for whole maize, ex ship and ex store, Cork, during that month.

I regret I have nothing to add to the information supplied to the Deputy on December 9th. The Deputy, may, however, rest assured that my prime purpose is to ensure that maize products will reach the farmer at the lowest possible price, and that this will continue to be the case.
