Vol. 114 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Telephone Line.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is in a position to say when a telephone communication line will be erected between Macroom and Carriganimmy Post Office.

A public telephone will be installed at Carriganimmy Post Office as part of the scheme to provide such facilities at all post offices. Work on the scheme has had to be suspended temporarily in favour of more urgent work—particularly the provision of telephones for waiting applicants—and accordingly it is not possible to say at present when the installation will be carried out at Carriganimmy.
