Vol. 114 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valentia and Portmagee Allotment Schemes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that owing to certain technicalities it is difficult to arrange for the establishment of two separate allotment schemes for Valentia and Portmagee and if, in these circumstances, he will sanction one major allotment scheme which will serve each district.

I am aware that difficulties have arisen in connection with the establishment of allotments schemes in Valentia and Portmagee. I will be prepared to approve of any reasonable proposals which may be submitted by the allotments associations concerned to my Department for the operation of a single scheme to cover both of these areas.
