Vol. 114 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Telephone Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state whether it is proposed to install a telephone at Longhill Post Office, County Limerick; and, if so, when such telephone service is likely to be available.

As I have stated on many occasions in reply to previous similar questions, it is the intention to provide a telephone call office at every post office, but owing to pressure of more urgent construction works, it has been necessary to defer their provision for the present. I propose to review the position six months hence when it may be practicable to resume work on the call office scheme. In the meantime it is not possible to say as regards what particular post office when a telephone call office will be provided.
