asked the Minister for Agriculture what recent progress has been made in the scheme for the improvement of Cahore Pier, County Wexford.

Special efforts are being made to devise a plan of work likely to meet the local fishery requirements and capable of completion within an outlay fairly commensurate with the interests to be served. A decision as to the provision of a State contribution is dependent upon the outcome of these efforts, and the representations of a deputation representative of local interests are being borne in mind.
