Vol. 114 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding in County Cork.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that serious flooding occurs at frequent intervals in the villages of Douglas and Crookstown, County Cork, and that the flooding referred to is caused by obstructions in the local rivers; and, if so, whether he will request the authority concerned to give priority to these villages when implementing the new drainage proposals.

Mr. Murphy

The preparation of schemes for work under the Local Authorities (Works) Bill, 1949, is at present proceeding. I am having the Deputy's request conveyed to the local authority.
