Vol. 114 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is now in a position to indicate when proposals for legislation will be introduced in the Dáil for the purpose of making the Remount Farm, Lusk, County Dublin, and similar State lands available to the Land Commission for division among uneconomic holders and landless men in County Dublin.

The introduction of the legislation which the Deputy has in mind is not a matter for my Department.

Will the Minister say which Department of State will deal with this particular matter?

I take it that it is the Department of Finance. I think I can go further and say that the Department of Finance has legislation under review but a Parliamentary question addressed to the Minister for Finance would clear up the point.
