Vol. 114 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inspection of Mayo Lands.

Mr. Walsh

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the acreage of land in County Mayo which has been inspected by officers of the Land Commission with a view to acquisition for the purpose of relieving congestion in the area.

Presumably what the Deputy has in mind are those cases in which inspections have been carried out and on which decisions have yet to be made on the question of instituting proceedings for acquisition. The area involved in such cases is about 3,000 acres.
