Vol. 114 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Court and Mayo Holdings.

Mr. Walsh

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the number of holdings in County Mayo on which proceedings are pending before the Land Court, the acreage of these holdings, and when it is likely these cases will be heard and a decision given.

I take it that what the Deputy wants to know is the number and area of estates or holdings in County Mayo at present the subject of proceedings for acquisition or resumption. If so, the answer is 154 estates or holdings, comprising a total area of 9,409 acres.

It is not possible to say when the Land Commission Court may decide on such cases as come before it.
