Vol. 115 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Treatment of Cattle Disease in County Clare.

asked the Minister for-Agriculture if he will arrange with the Clare County Committee of Agriculture that particulars of the treatment of hoose, fluke, murrain, etc., which his Department introduced into several districts of that county during last year be made available in general for all farmers in Clare, and that notice be given in the public Press so that these remedies may be more generally availed of.

The methods of treatment adopted in the Loop Head area were publicised, not only in County Clare but throughout the whole-country, by means of Press and radio, and by the distribution of a special leaflet which is supplied free by my Department. The treatment was also explained in veterinary lectures given during the past winter in many parts of the country, including County Clare, by veterinary officers of my Department. I propose to continue and intensify publicity measures of this kind.
