Vol. 115 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Experimental and Demonstration Farms.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that the British Government have decided to establish 18 experimental farms of varying sizes and types for the purpose of research and demonstration; and, if so, whether he will consider the desirability of adopting a similar scheme in this country.

I am aware of the decision of the British Government to establish experimental farms. I would remind the Deputy, however, that there are already in this country a number of farms attached to the agricultural schools and colleges where experimental and research work is carried out on an extensive scale.
