asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the number and different makes of motor cars, vans, lorries and tractors imported into this country during 1948; (2) the value or cost of same; (3) the amount of petrol, oil and tyres imported for the use of motor vehicles for the same year and the value in each case; and (4) the value of motor parts imported for the same period.

The import statistics available do not distinguish between the different makes of vehicles or the amount of petrol, oil and tyres imported for the use of motor vehicles only.
