I have been informed by Bord na Móna that it is unlikely the bogs in the Knockananna district would be suitable for development because they are at such a high altitude that economic harvesting operations would be extremely difficult. No definite decision with regard to the bogs will, however, be taken by Bord na Móna until after a survey which is to be made as soon as possible.
