Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Excise Duty Payments.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount of excise duty paid during the financial years 1946-47, 1947-48, 1948-49 on (i) beer, (ii) betting, (iii) entertainments, (iv) licences—bookmakers', dog, liquor and others, (v) matches, (vi) spirits, (vii) sugar and molasses, and (viii) tobacco.

As the answer to this question is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—
