Vol. 115 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Heating of Government Offices.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the aggregate value of the quantities of imported fuel used in the last financial year for the heating of Government offices.

Figures relating exclusively to the heating of Government offices are not readily available. The total value of imported fuel supplied during the year ended 31st March, 1949, to such offices and to certain institutions such as preparatory colleges, agricultural schools, Dundrum Asylum, Botanic Gardens, etc., was approximately £52,000. Of this, about £40,000 represents purchases from the coal stocks of Messrs. Fuel Importers, Ltd.
