Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Figures.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of unemployed signing at the Dublin unemployment exchanges at present; and the number, if any, who were offered work and refused it during the past month.

The number of persons registered at the four Dublin employment exchanges on Saturday, the 14th May, 1949, was 14,642. During the past month, 26 persons who were offered work at these exchanges refused it.
