Vol. 115 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rearrangement of Kerry Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that the question of the carrying through of a rearrangement scheme on the Donoghue estate, Curraheen, Glenbeigh, by the Land Commission was considered in 1933 and also the division of a commonage of 75 acres amongst the tenants concerned; and, if so, whether the Land Commission will operate a rearrangement scheme at the earliest possible date.

The Land Commission have noted this matter for consideration at the earliest possible date.

Is the Minister aware that in 1934 a Land Commission inspector, Mr. Mitchell, surveyed that estate with a view to putting a rearrangement scheme into operation and that housing conditions, the question of the division of this commonage, and other matters are of urgent importance to the people of that district? Will the Minister take steps to have the matter brought to an early conclusion or something definite done about it?

Very good.
