Vol. 117 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Medical Officers.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that a number of medical officers in County Kerry have exceeded the statutory age for retiring; and, if so, whether he will ensure that this practice is discontinued and younger men appointed in their stead.

I am not aware that any medical officers in Kerry to whom the Age Limit Order refers have exceeded the statutory age limit for retiring. If the Deputy will give me the name of any such medical officer I will have the matter investigated immediately.
