Vol. 117 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Cork Unproductive Farms.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission is prepared to make a survey of all untenanted and unproductive farms in North Cork, with a view to acquiring them.

As I pointed out in my reply to the debate on the Estimates, a general survey of untenanted land would not serve the purpose contemplated in the question. The amount of land available for acquisition varies from year to year, as it depends on whether or not the lands are being properly worked.

If the Deputy has any particular cases in mind I will have inquiries made.
