Vol. 117 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gaeltacht Housing Grants.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that people who applied for Gaeltacht housing grants a considerable time ago have not yet had their applications attended to by his Department; and, if so, whether he will see to it that these applications are attended to promptly.

Applications for grants under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Acts receive prompt attention. Some 240 applications were received from County Kerry alone and were referred for inspection. Reports and sanctions on these cases total over 100 to date. I think the Deputy will agree that these figures refute any suggestion that there is delay in dealing with applications.
