Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exports of Tweeds.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the quantity and value of the tweeds exported (a) by parcel post; (b) otherwise, for the years 1946, 1947 and 1948.

(a) Details of exports by parcel post are not available; (b) separate particulars of exports of tweeds are not required by the Official Export List. Any exports of tweeds are included under the description "Woollen tissues," and I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving particulars of such exports in the years 1946, 1947 and 1948. These statistics may include, however, particulars of exports of materials other than tweed.

Following is the statement:
