Vol. 118 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cleaners at Crooksling Sanatorium.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that Circulars 104/48 and 50/49 have not been implemented by the Public Health Department, Dublin Corporation in respect of female cleaners employed at Crooksling Sanatorium, County Dublin; and, if so, whether he will take steps to see that the minimum rates set down in these circulars are fully implemented without delay.

I am informed by the health authority concerned that wholetime cleaners employed at Crooksling Sanatorium are in receipt of the appropriate rate of temporary bonus authorised in the circulars mentioned by the Deputy. The claim to bonus in respect of part-time service as cleaners at the sanatorium in the period up to the end of March last is being dealt with by the health authority.
