Vol. 118 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authority Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will supply details of the schemes sanctioned under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, for Cork West, and if he will indicate whether the amount so granted bridges the gap caused by the cut in the road grants.

One hundred and twenty-one schemes have so far been approved for execution under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, in the current financial year in West Cork County Health District. If the Deputy wishes to see the full details of the approved works I shall arrange to have them shown to him in the Department at his convenience. The amount of the grant allocated to date for these works is £21,025, which more than offsets the reduction in the amount of the road grant.
