Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether any steps are being taken to acquire the lands at Summerhill, Nobber, owned by Mr. Maxwell McKeever, of Ardee, for the relief of uneconomic holders in the area.

The Land Commission have no proceedings in respect of these lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have had an inspection made of the Murray Moore estate at Barne, Cahir, County Tipperary; and, if so, whether it is intended to acquire these lands for division among uneconomic holders and landless men in the locality.

Preliminary inquiries were made in regard to these lands, but a decision has not yet been reached.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the lands known as the Tower Hill demesne, Blake estate, Carnacon, Ballyglass, have been acquired by the Land Commission for division amongst the small land owners in the area.

The proceedings in this case have reached an advanced stage.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the lands known as the Moorehall demesne, Carnacon, Ballyglass, have been acquired by the Land Commission; and, if so, when it is proposed to divide these lands among the congests of that area.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether a scheme for the division of the lands known as the Togher farm at Hollymount. County Mayo (formerly called the Algy estate) has been prepared by the Land Commission; and, if so, when it is proposed to put the scheme into operation for the purpose of relieving congestion in the area.

It is not possible to forecast with reasonable accuracy when these lands will be allotted.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the Cunningham farm at Ballybrittas, near Kildalkey, County Meath, formerly owned by a Mr. Finegan.

Proceedings have already been instituted in respect of this farm.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission propose to acquire for division the Patterton estate, Rathcormack, Kildalkey, County Meath.

This case is under consideration.
