Vol. 118 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Cork Housing Scheme,

Mr. Murphy

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reasons for the delay in the erection of houses under the second non-municipal housing scheme in West Cork; and if he will take steps to expedite their erection.

Lay-out and house plans have been approved for 20 of the 23 sites acquired under the scheme. Revised plans for the remaining three sites are being prepared. Tenders cannot be invited until final contract documents are submitted and approved and the housing authority is being urged to expedite the submission of these documents.
