Vol. 120 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drummaraddy National School (Cavan).

asked the Minister for Education if he will state with respect to the decision of his Department to erect a new national school at Drummaraddy, County Cavan, at what stage work is at present, and when the people of the area may expect the school to be completed and ready for use.

A site has been offered for a new school to replace the former Drummaraddy National School, and it is hoped that a report as to its suitability will be available shortly.

There are also certain other preliminaries which must be arranged before a grant could be sanctioned for the erection of the new school.

I am not in a position to say when these preliminaries may be completed, but every effort is being made and will continue to be made to expedite the matter.
