Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that Mr. William Browne of Curraghan, Lavally, Tuam, County Galway, is prepared to offer his holding there in exchange for a migrant's holding in the Midlands or portion of it on a cash basis; and, if so, whether he will urge the Land Commission to negotiate immediately with Mr. Browne in view of the congestion in the locality.

The Land Commission have this matter under consideration and are dealing with it as expeditiously as possible.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will now state what progress has been made towards the acquisition of the Satchwell lands at Creggs, County Galway.

The question of the acquisition of these lands is under consideration, but the Land Commission have not yet reached a decision.
