asked the Taoiseach if he will state for each of the years 1948 and 1949: (1) the total cash value of agricultural output; (2) the value of agricultural produce exported, and (3) the value of our imports of cereals, feeding stuffs, sugar and tomatoes.

(1) The value of gross agricultural output for the year 1948 was £119,647,000. The corresponding figure for the year 1949 is not yet available.
(2) The value (f.o.b.) of agricultural produce exported in the year 1948 was £31,867,877 and, in the year 1949, £39,120,308.
(3) As regards this part of the question, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information.
