Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment in Agriculture.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of males, 18 and over, engaged in agriculture, on 1st June, 1949, distinguishing between members of families, permanent employees and casual employees.

The total number of males, 18 years of age and over, engaged in farm work on 1st June, 1949, was 452,500, consisting of members of families 333,473; other males, permanent 74,661 and temporary 44,366.
