Vol. 120 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Street Trading Act.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that local authorities are reluctant to adopt the Street Trading Act, 1926, because they are of opinion that the Act is not effective for the purpose for which it was drafted, and whether in the circumstances he will introduce proposals for comprehensive legislation to deal with public complaints regarding street trading.

I have considered this matter, but I do not think that the Act is in need of amendment.
