Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - All-Night Telephone Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the number of exchange districts in which an all-night telephone service was available to all subscribers and the scales of allowances which applied (a) on 18th February, 1948, and (b) at present.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be published in the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

Unit scale plus bonus at 190.

The unit scale of payment for suboffice exchanges provides for a certain minimum unit credit for liability to give continuous telephone attendance plus further unit credits for the calls dealt with.
