Vol. 121 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dickens Estate, Achill.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position as regards the Dickens estate, Achill, and how soon the Land Commission contemplate rearranging this estate; and whether, in view of the hardship suffered by the tenants on account of the rundale system, he will ask the Land Commission to carry out the rearrangement immediately and arrange for the fencing of the tenants' holdings and the making of housing grants.

This estate has been surveyed, but it will be necessary to settle certain legal difficulties before a rearrangement scheme can be prepared.
