Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compulsory Purchase Orders.

andMr. McAuliffe asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the Preliminary Order in respect of the Compulsory Purchase Order for rural houses in Fermoy, Kanturk and Mallow rural districts has been received in his Department; and, if so, when it is intended to hold a sworn inquiry in the matter.

A Compulsory Purchase Order for rural houses in Fermoy, Kanturk and Mallow rural districts was received in my Department on 2nd instant. As the period for lodgment of objections against the Order will not expire until the 1st July, arrangements for the holding of a public local inquiry cannot be made until after that date.
