Vol. 121 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transition Development Fund.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider allotting an additional amount from the Transition Development Fund for the forthcoming drainage scheme for Mitchelstown in view of the enormous cost of the scheme and its experimental value for future schemes for the drainage of creamery effluent.

The question of the amount to be contributed from State sources towards the cost of the Mitchelstown sewerage scheme is under consideration. The cost of the scheme has been enhanced by reason of the proposal to treat waste from the creamery, but the creamery authorities have agreed to contribute a sum of £7,000 towards the undertaking.
