Vol. 121 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blackwater Islands.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether the removal of the islands on the river Blackwater at Fermoy Bridge has been recommended by the deputy county engineer of the Cork County Council and, if so, when work will commence.

This scheme has now been inspected and the county council is being informed that the work has been approved. It will be for the county council to decide whether, and if so, when, to undertake this work out of such grant allocations as are made available to them for the current financial year.
