asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the date on which the report of the flour and bread subsidy committee was received by the Government; whether the Government have now completed consideration of the report and whether copies of it will be made available to Deputies at an early date.

The report of the flour and bread inquiry committee was received in July, 1949. The Government have not yet completed their examination of the recommendations made in the report, and until then a decision regarding its circulation is being deferred.
