Vol. 123 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether a contractor has been appointed for carrying out the proposed water scheme at Beeing, Mallow, County Cork; and, if so, what progress has been made with the work, and, further, if he will state approximately when the scheme will be completed as the building of a new primary school in the district is held up pending the completion of the scheme.

The acceptance of a tender for the carrying out of this scheme was approved last February, but I understand there has been delay in obtaining delivery of the pipes and that they are unlikely to be available before next January. I am unable to say at this stage when the work will be completed.
