asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of pigs exported from the Republic over the Six-County border between 25th October, 1950, and 28th November, as (a) bacon pigs, and (b) store pigs.

According to export specifications received in the Central Statistics Office up to and including 4th December, 1950, 16,870 store pigs were exported over the land frontier in the period 25th October—28th November, 1950, inclusive. No fat pigs were so exported in the same period.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the total number of live pigs exported during the period of time when restrictions on the export of live pigs were relaxed.

According to export specifications received in the Central Statistics Office up to and including the 4th December, 1950, the number of live pigs exported from this country during the period 25th October—28th November, 1950, inclusive, was 18,219.
