Vol. 123 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cavan Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in carrying out the sewerage scheme at Blacklion, County Cavan, if he has satisfied himself that there has been no unavoidable delay and if he will state when it is intended to proceed with the scheme.

No proposals in regard to the provision of a sewerage scheme at Blacklion have been received since 1946, when it was suggested that the more urgent schemes at Arva, Ballyjamesduff and Killeshandra should receive priority. The Ballyjamesduff scheme has since been completed and work is in progress on the other two schemes. I am not aware of the county council's intentions as regards proceeding with a scheme for Blacklion.
