Vol. 124 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meat Parcels to England.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will reconsider the position of persons in Ireland who wish to send meat parcels to friends in England and have regulations framed to enable them to do so.

I regret that I cannot alter the existing procedure whereby licences for the export of gift parcels of meat to Great Britain are granted only where the recipients are in a position to furnish medical certificates to the effect that they require such supplies for health reasons.
