Vol. 124 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Consultative Council.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether the Agricultural Consultative Council is still in existence; and, if so, (a) its constitution; (b) when it was last convened, and (c) when the next meeting will be called.

The Agricultural Production Consultative Council is still in existence. The council is constituted by an Order entitled The Agricultural Production Consultative Council Order, 1939, which was made pursuant to Section 11 of the Agriculture Act, 1931. The council last met in January, 1946. I do not at present propose to call a meeting of the council and in this connection I would refer the Deputy to my answers of the 6th July, 1949, and 10th November, 1949, to his previous questions about this council.
