Vol. 124 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glenville New School (Cork).

asked the Minister for Education whether he is now in a position to state when building of the new school at Glenville, County Cork, will be undertaken.

My Department recently sanctioned a grant towards the cost of the erection of a new school to replace the present Glenville National School.

It is now a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works to have working drawings and a specification for the new school prepared and to take such other necessary steps as may be required to enable the erection of the building to be proceeded with. While I am unable to say when work will commence on the new building, there will be no avoidable delay in having the case brought to the stage at which a contract can be placed.
