Vol. 124 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Longford Abattoir.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will have the examination of the application by the Longford Urban Council for the registration of the public abattoir in the town expedited in view of the long felt need for this amenity.

A request was received on the 27th February, 1951, from the Longford Urban District Council for registration of their abattoir in the registers of cattle and sheep slaughtering premises under the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Acts, 1930 to 1938. The communication from the council is receiving attention, and a reply will be sent to them at a very early date.
