asked the Taoiseach if he will state whether any Minister or Parliamentary Secretary holds any position of emolument other than his post as Minister or Parliamentary Secretary, the nature of such post and whether the Minister or Parliamentary Secretary concerned is drawing emoluments from it and, further, whether any part of them is derived from moneys voted by Dáil Éireann and if such emoluments have been or are about to be increased as a result of supplementary moneys voted by Dáil Éireann during the current financial year.

Mr. P. McGilligan, the Minister for Finance, holds a professorship in the Faculty of Law in University College, Dublin, in respect of which he is in receipt of emoluments payable out of the funds of the college. Whether or not the emoluments of members of the academic staff of the college have been or are about to be increased is a matter concerning the internal administration of the college, for which I have no responsibility.
Mr. W. Norton, the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Welfare, holds the post of General Secretary of the Post Office Workers' Union, Dr. N.C. Browne, the Minister for Health, holds the post of Assistant Medical Officer of Newcastle Sanatorium, County Wicklow, and Mr. B. Corish, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government and to the Minister for Defence, holds the post of staff officer under the Wexford County Council. In each of these three cases, the Minister or Parliamentary Secretary concerned is on special leave without pay from the post mentioned.
asked the Taoiseach whether any member of the present Government is in receipt of an annual allowance granted under any Act of the Oireachtas containing a provision under which a local body or local authority shall grant such an allowance to an officer who becomes incapable of discharging the duties of his office by reason of permanent infirmity of mind or body; and, if so, whether he will state the Act and the relevant provisions thereof and the amount of annual allowance and lump sum, if any which may be granted thereunder.
