Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Horses.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state total number of horses exported during the period from 1st February to the 31st January, 1951, specifying the numbers in each of the following categories (a) race horses and hunters; (b) horses suitable for agricultural work aged four years and over; (c) horses suitable for agricultural work under the age of four years, and (d) other categories.

The total number of horses exported in the 12 months ended 31st January, 1951, was 25,647. The official import list does not provide for the categories specified in the question, but the following list shows the above total classified according to the categories provided for, as follows:—
