Vol. 124 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sandyford Estate.

Mr. Brady

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Kingston estate, Sandyford, was inspected recently by officers of his Department and whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of dividing this estate in the near future; and, if so, with what result; further, if he will state (1) the total acreage of this estate; (2) the acreage suitable for tillage; (3) the acreage tilled during recent years; (4) the acreage let for grazing, and number of such lettings, and (5) whether the present owner resides on the holding.

This estate of 182 acres was recently inspected, but a decision as to acquisition has not yet been taken. It is not customary and would not be in the public interest, particularly in view of the present stage of the proceedings, to disclose personal information of the nature sought in the latter part of the question.
