Vol. 124 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bohola (Mayo) Telephone Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that people resident in and around Bohola, County Mayo, are at a serious disadvantage because there is no public telephone in the area; and, if so, whether he will proceed to have one installed immediately.

The work of providing a call office at Bohola is in hands and will be completed this month.

May I ask if the Minister could say whether the delay in providing the service was due to the fact that the staff was employed at Baltinglass Post Office?

Is that the most sensible supplementary the Deputy can ask?
