asked the Taoiseach if he will indicate (i) the quantity of timber imported in each month from December 31st, 1949, to date; (ii) the ports at which it was discharged, giving the amounts for each port; (iii) the price per standard in each case, and (iv) the amount of timber now held in stock by the merchants and on the 13th October, 1950.

With regard to sections (i), (iii) and (iv), I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report statements containing the desired information.
The information required in section (ii) is not available.
With regard to (iv), the figures for stocks of timber are available on the 30th September, 1950, and the 28th February, 1951, and these figures are shown on the statement in lieu of the information requested.
The figures given relate to the stocks held by timber importers.
