Vol. 124 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Landings of Salmon.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number, weight and value of salmon landed during each month of 1948, 1949 and 1950 in (a) the Dublin fishery district, and (b) the River Liffey catchment.

Salmon fishermen are not required to state in their returns to my Department the month in which their catches were made, and I can, therefore, give particulars as to catches on an annual basis only. I am not yet in a position, however, to give information regarding the catches for the year 1950, but as regards the years 1948 and 1949 the information available is as follows:—
